37.5 Weeks
We have officially reached the point where we are ready for Connor to make his grand appearance! Time seems to be going by so slow - but everyone says to enjoy it now because things will change a LOT when he arrives so we are trying to be patient.
Connor's room is done and he is so spoiled already that he has a closet full of clothes and all of the baby necessities thanks to all of our friends and family sending us lots of goodies! We also recently received a massive box from Phoenix with lots of adorable boys stuff from my sister that she used with my nephew, Tanner.
As for baby, he is still doing well - I see the regular OB-GYN on Mondays and the perinatal doctor on Thursdays, where I get to see him through ultrasounds each week. The perinatal doctor is watching my blood sugar levels and monitoring his progress, which has been all good news so far. At the latest ultrasound, he was head down and almost doing the splits with his legs - one on my right side and one of my left side which was pretty funny to see. The doctor also said that he has hair on his head (this must obviously be a Slagle thing because I didn't have hair until I was over 2 years old)! I have, however, developed carpal tunnel in my right hand, which has become pretty unbearable in the past few days. With this, it basically feels like my hand is asleep all the time and gets worse each night. It seems like a very random symptom of pregnancy but the doctor said its normal so I guess I'll just have to deal with it :).
P.S. I had a pedicure today - it was sooo amazing!! Keith's grandmother gave me a gift certificate at my baby shower for a pedicure to make sure I was taking care of myself and it was so great and very much appreciated! I've decided that if Connor is late, I'm going again in two weeks to keep my sanity!
For Easter tomorrow, we are headed to church, which is pretty special to us because it will be our one year anniversary of joining JFBC - we were baptized by immersion there last Easter to finish our membership process. We are then headed to the Slagle's for brunch and watching the GATOR game!
Happy Easter - and Go Gators!
