Summer is Here!!

Yay!  Summer is finally here!

We started our summer out with a fun-filled Memorial Day weekend!  We completed the inspection on our new house, had a BBQ with friends, and attended Keith's parent's BBQ with their neighbors, and played outside lots!

Connor also had his first black eye :(  He thinks he can run when in reality, he is a wobbly walker so he fell and gave himself a little black eye.  A little TLC and ice and he was back up and ready to go!

Connor has just recently started to enjoy how much fun it is to play outside!  He loves going to the park but in the past, he has just stood by my side.  With a little help from daddy though, he started to walk on the wood chips at the park then on the grass in our neighborhood.  We will miss the huge grassy area at the front of our current neighborhood but are excited to embrace our new backyard with a swing set! :)

Connor and I are headed to Minnesota tomorrow (Keith joining later) for some play time with Grandma Cathy and Pop Pop, visiting with friends, going to the cabin, and celebrating Annamac's wedding!  Please send positive thoughts and prayers that I make it through the plane ride with him - he tends to not sit still anymore!

We have lots coming up this summer - when we return, we have 12 days until we close on our new home!

Mother's Day

I know... I know... I've been delinquent in blog posting!  Things have been a bit crazy around here lately!  Last weekend, we had a fabulous Mother's Day!  We went to church, had a special lunch, then went to the Slagle's for dinner.  I wasn't sure anything could out-do last Mother's Day with a Keurig and the cutest homemade card - well, I stand corrected - a new iPhone sure did :)

Connor continues to love his newfound freedom with walking!  He is a boy on the go - chasing balls and throwing his toys down the stairs.  Here's a video of him walking a few days ago before bed...

He absolutely loves bananas, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, and of course Goldfish.  I have come up with a few new creative ways to get him to eat his veggies, which is usually a struggle the minute I put them on his tray!  Connor finally got over his ear infection that he's had for a while so he's in better spirits.

He also went to the park for the first time and loved the swings!  Well, for about 10 minutes then he looked like he was going to throw up so I took him out!

In other news - we are moving!!  Our current home is under contract to sell and we are under contract on a new home to move at the end of June!  The new house is just under 10 miles away in East Cobb - technically Roswell but still in Cobb County.  We are so excited for this big change and are praying that everything goes well in both transactions! :)
